MRCP Part 1 Overview
The MRCP (Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians) Diploma is a postgraduate qualification awarded by the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK. It is the entry requirement for higher specialty training in internal medicine. The diploma has three parts: MRCP Part 1, MRCP Part 2 Written, and MRCP Part 2 Clinical (PACES).
Eligibility requires a primary medical qualification accepted by the GMC and a minimum of 12 months of postgraduate clinical experience before sitting Part 1. After passing Part 1, candidates can sit Part 2 Written or PACES in either order, or simultaneously.MRCP Part 1 Details
